We welcome Shaftesbury to Bristol Road tomorrow, with both sides wanting the three points to help their play-off claims.

Posset come into the game in good form, unbeaten in 6 games, including 5 wins, and on the back of 3 clean sheets. After two hard fought wins on the road in the last two games – 1-0 at Falmouth and 2-0 at Westbury – Portishead will be pleased to return home and look to reinforce their position in the table. Posset strengthened their squad on transfer deadline day this week with the signing of forward Corey Evans. The former Newport County professional signed from Yate Town and goes straight into the squad for tomorrow’s game.

Shaftesbury come into the game in mixed form, with 3 wins and 3 defeats in the past 6. The midweek results meant they dropped out of the play-off places so they’ll be determined to collect the points at Bristol Road to get back on track. They lost to second place Malvern Town last time out, 4-2, but Portishead will be under no illusions as to how difficult an opponent they will be, after the Rockies defeated Posset earlier in the season. Toby Holmes, on target that day, is joint top scorer in the league, on 20 strikes, and will certainly be a threat to Portishead.
