Saturday sees the final game of the regular season as Posset visit the champions Frome Town.

Portishead come into the game in great league form, unbeaten in twelve league games with only one goal conceded in the last nine. The league’s leading scorers, with 108 goals, posset have four players who have reached 20 goals in all competitions – Jack Thorne, Lucas Vowles, Ethan Feltham and Jay Murray. Posset know that a win would secure second place in the table – due to their vastly superior goal difference. However a draw or a defeat would mean Portishead would have to wait on the result of Malvern’s clash with Swindon Supermarine. Whether second or third, their play-off semi-final will be on Wednesday evening at Bristol Road.

Frome, with 102 points, have already clinched the league title and promotion back to the Southern League Premier Division South. Having lost just three games in the league all season they’ve dominated the league. Last time out they fell to a 2-0 defeat at Melksham Town, that was there first league defeat since back in October. Archie Ferris is their top scorer in the league with 22 goals.

Travel & Parking

By Road: Travelling from Rodden Road, turn right at the traffic lights (you will see the Vine Tree pub opposite) onto Berkley Road. Continue for some 300 yards and the ground will be on your right. The entrance to the car park is at the far end of the ground.

Car parking is literally inside/around the ground with places for approximately 60 cars. If you are a disabled driver, please contact the club and they will reserve you a space. There is a local school – Selwood Academy just 200 metres away – which acts as an overflow car park.
