Jordan has been a committed and valued member of Portishead Town Football Club for more than ten years. Having joined the Junior Committee during the 2016/17 season, he has played an active role in the development of our club and the experience we provide for players and families.

Over the years, Jordan has taken on a number of roles and responsibilities. He has been involved with the Tournament Committee since 2018, helping to schedule and coordinate the club’s tournaments, and in 2024 took on the role of Sports Development Manager.

Since the completion of the club’s all-weather pitch in 2024, Jordan has played a key role in establishing the standards and behaviours around its use and ensuring we get the most from this important club asset. His professionalism and commitment have resulted in consistently positive feedback from FIFA during their inspections, as well as from guests and regular users of the facility.

Throughout his time as Sports Development Manager, Jordan has consistently gone above and beyond the requirements of his role. He has regularly given additional time, taken on responsibilities outside his core remit and stepped up whenever needed to support the club, its members and the successful operation of the facility. His commitment has extended well beyond the expectations of his position and has been hugely appreciated by the club.

Unfortunately, due to the economics of the funding model used to procure the pitch, we are unable to sustain the Sports Development Manager role on a full-time basis beyond 1 October.

After considerable thought, Jordan has also decided that this is the right time to step back from the operational side of the club. Over the years, he has invested a huge amount of time and energy into PTFC, much of it alongside the demands of family life. He now feels it is important to create more time for his own family and, in particular, to be there for his children as they continue their own football journeys.

Jordan will, however, remain very much part of the club. He will continue coaching the Under 5/6 age group, providing guidance to those taking on coaching roles and supporting the Boys’ High Performance Pathway. Most importantly, he will continue coaching his own children’s teams.

This next chapter will allow Jordan to remain involved in the areas of the club he is most passionate about, while creating a better balance between football and family life.

We would like to thank Jordan for the considerable contribution he has made to PTFC over the years. From his work with the Junior Committee and Tournament Committee, through to coaching and his recent role supporting the development and management of our all-weather facility, he has given a great deal to the club and its members. His willingness to go above and beyond, his professionalism and his genuine commitment to the development of young players have made a lasting contribution to the club.

We are pleased that Jordan will continue to be part of the Portishead Town FC family and look forward to seeing him continue to support young players and coaches, while enjoying coaching his own children and, importantly, having more time for his family.
