Portishead Town vs Malvern Town
Saturday 18th April 2026 15:00
Southern League Division One South
Portishead Town are back at Bristol Road after two very long and successful away days. Our final home game of the regular season could not be bigger, as we welcome second place Malvern Town to BS20.
Posset are on a great run of run – eleven league games unbeaten including nine wins, seven clean sheets in their last eight games and the league’s top scorers with 104 goals. Two men in fine goal scoring form are Jack Thorne and Jay Murray; JT has five goals in three games and Muzz has five in six. The massive games have been coming thick and fast and after a long season the squad are carrying knocks and injuries, but everyone is locked in for the final push.
Our visitors, Malvern Town, are the form side in the league having won their last nine games and remaining unbeaten in fourteen. They are the second highest scorers in the league, with 99, and no side yet has prevented them from scoring this season. Harry Clark, who was on target when the sides met earlier in the season, is their top scorer with 19 league goals to his name. A win for Malvern would secure them second place, anything else would mean Portishead would take the battle for the advantageous second spot to the final day.
