Hello to everyone in our community, those who care passionately about our club and those we’ve connected with in the wider football community. Our club is thriving, it was established nearly 115 years ago, has 1100+ active members and offers participation from ages 6 upwards and is a beacon of inclusivity. However you ‘define’ success, we have it at every level and my mandate is to create an environment which is safe and inclusive for all our members to access football, whichever level of the game you play.
Those representing the club at the highest level are dealing with the crushing disappointment of what many feel is a draconian outcome. First Team Manager Kye Mountford along with his coaching staff and players have instilled a winning culture, while connecting and growing the fan base, enlivening the community and inspiring young and old to follow the club.
Our efforts as a board are focused on ensuring we retain the leadership of Kye, his coaching team and players, enabling us to keep our football identity intact, while we complete ground compliance work in a controlled and logical sequence before we make aesthetic improvements to our facilities enhancing the matchday experience, bringing them to a level fitting for our members and the people of Portishead.

To those within Portishead we are yet to connect with, like the majority of people in the town, I wasn’t born here, but it’s where I belong…….I hope you decide to visit Bristol Road next season, we’ll extend a warm welcome to you.
There is plenty planned for the off season and we will be updating you regularly on works progress. Thank you to those who preceded me and to those that have reached out to me already with best wishes for my time as custodian of the club, I look forward to welcoming and introducing new board members over the course of next week.
